Description of facility: 

Tahuna Normal Intermediate School located in St. Kilda, Dunedin, had been heated by a section coal boiler fed by a day hopper. The inefficient Colonel style boiler required daily manual feeding, regular ash removal with a shovel and ongoing cleaning by the caretaker. In 2008 Spark Energy was appointed to supply and install a new 400 kW KB Pyrot wood chip boiler.
