Power Generation from Landfill Gas
Description of facility:
Entec was retained in 2004 to provide equipment, design and installation/commissioning services to Green Energy. Green Energy had in turn been awarded an EPC contract by the WEL Green Energy Joint Venture for the turnkey supply of a 900kW landfill gas power station.
Entec's scope in this project included the design and specification of the plant building, landfill gas blowers, gas conditioning system, control and switchgear panel, and gas engine generator set. A Waukesha VHP5904LTD Enginator package was selected for this application, with a continuous rating of 900kWe.
Entec also provided a comprehensive design, and mechanical/electrical installation service, culminating in handover of the plant in November 2004.
