Bromley Waste Treatment Plant
The Bromley Wastewater treatment plant has been developed over many years and services the largest city on the south island of New Zealand. The waste is mainly municipal with some industry wastewater.. Between 2007 - 2010 the digesters were upgraded.
Description of facility:
2x7,000m³ Thermophilic (new) and 4x5,000m³ Mesophilic Anaerobic Reactors.
Between 2007 - 2010 the digesters were upgraded with thermophilic digester tanks (2 x 7,000 m3). The Spiire team who lead the upgrade designed full digester plant automation and integration of thermophilic and mesophilic digester stage operation, thermophilic seed sludge procurement and was responsible for M&E& process commissioning of the combined mesophilic/thermophilic digester plant.
